INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

By becoming a member of the RFID Professional Institute, your organization can help to promote professionalism in the RFID industry and accelerate the adoption of all types of RFID technologies, by helping us to create vendor- and technology-neutral, independent, standardized certification exams. The following organizational membership options are available. We offer the following types of membership to individuals:

Individual
Professional Member

Dues: $199 first year, $149 each following year

​

An Individual Professional membership is open to any individual who desires to further the development of RFID education, scientific research or certification.

​

Benefits

  • Includes one (1) RFID Professional Institute Certification exam voucher
     

  • A 15 percent discount on additional RFID Professional Institute Certification exam voucher
     

  • Member logo to use on individual's curriculum vitae, email signature, or website
     

  • Certified members may opt to have their names and RFID Professional Institute Certification credentials published in a searchable list maintained on the RFID Professional Institute website
     

  • Eligible to apply for consideration as a subject-matter expert (upon qualification and subject to policy of the Board of Directors)
     

  • Eligible to participate in open committees
     

  • Entitled to vote at the annual, general and special meetings of the Institute
     

  • Free access to the members-only section of the Institute’s website with copies of all member-restricted documents, studies, meeting minutes, conference proceedings, Institute reports, newsletters and other general membership publications

Individual Subject Matter Expert Member

Dues: $149 first year, $99 each following year

An Individual member who applies to and is accepted by the RFID Institute to serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) will have special opportunities to further the development of RFID education, scientific research or certification. Membership fees will be discounted from the Individual Professional membership rates to recognize their contribution for those who are active contributors during their period of service. (Discounted fee: currently $99 each year)

  • Same as for Individual Professional member benefits above, plus the following:
     

    • Opportunities to contribute to designated activities as appointed and designated by the Board of Directors
       

    • Listing on the subject-matter expert on the Institute's website
       

    • RFID Professional Institute subject-matter expert logo for use on curriculum vitae and email signature

Individual Government or Nonprofit Member

Dues: $199 first year, $149 each following year

An individual Government/Nonprofit membership is open to any individual who desires to further the development of RFID education, scientific research or the adoption of globally accepted RFID certification. ($149 first year, $99 for each following year)

  • Same as for Individual Professional member benefits above

Individual Student/Academic Member

Dues: $129 first year, $79 each following year

​

An individual academic membership is open to any individual who desires to further the development of RFID education, scientific research or the adoption of globally accepted RFID certification.

​

Benefits

  • Eligible to participate in committees open to students
     

  • Entitled to a 20 percent discount on all RFID Professional Institute Certification testing vouchers beyond the first one
     

  • Free access to the members-only section of the Institute’s web site with copies of all member-restricted documents, studies, meeting minutes, conference proceedings, general Institute reports, newsletters and other general membership publications

 

Note: These Individual Student/Academic memberships are not entitled to vote on RFID Professional Institute matters, except as designated by the Board of Directors for student-related matters.

Membership Term

Memberships in the RFID Institute are for a period of one year and start on the first day after the completed membership agreement is received. Renewal notices will be sent approximately 45 days before the membership term ends. Members may upgrade to a higher membership level at any time during the membership year for a prorated fee.
